Sphera is the first Italian company dedicated 100% to research and development in the field of encapsulation.

We were born in 2016 inspired by the scientific work conducted in the laboratory of Food Chemistry in the Department of Biotechnology, University of Verona.

We are a team of three researchers with diversified skills but united by a strong passion – the one for encapsulation technology applied to industry. We operate successfully in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic and animal nutrition sectors, designing and developing formulations of encapsulated active ingredients for the realization of innovative and functional products.

Why Sphera? Most industrial sectors have a problem: the active ingredients used in manufacturing are quite unstable under certain conditions (such as high temperature, extreme pH and others), and easily oxidized or more generally degradable etc. This makes it necessary to identify and optimize strategies to increase their stability, so that they can arrive intact and accessible to the consumer: and that is where we come in.

Sphera addresses these problems using the technology of encapsulation.For your every need, we can design encapsulated active ingredients that exceed the limits of poor stability and decreased bioavailability and can be used for the realization of innovative products such as functional foods, supplements nutraceuticals.

The heart of Sphera is a research group with 4 year of experience exclusively in the field encapsulation. Each of us has developed specific skills thanks to the years of study, research and scientific cooperation with companies and other research groups but also attendance in numerous conferences and workshops.
